Lettuce Sandwich Shop: Dutch Bread Awesomeness

Wanting to grab a bite to eat before shopping the other day, my friend Laurie suggested that we try Lettuce Sandwich Shop because it was on the way to the mall. Finding the actual place was actually quite a challenge, but eventually we got there! That’s all that matters, right?

We shared a chicken salad sandwich on Dutch bread with Swiss cheese, and “everything” but onions. “Everything” includes: mayo, mustard, garlic sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles, peppers, and onions.

The sandwich turned out to be really good. I’m in love with the Dutch bread! It was the perfect consistency of crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. I don’t like it when there’s too much dough in the bread for sandwiches, but at Lettuce there’s definitely more crunch than dough. As a fan of chicken salad, I thought it was well flavored. However, the one complaint I have about the sandwich is that the actual chicken pieces are too small. Other than that, I’m happy with the sandwich I had at Lettuce and I look forward to trying their other sandwiches. If you’re near the airport and need a quick bite, stop by Lettuce.
